Privacy Policy

Hi.
Welcome to starlightiguana.com. We believe the internet works best when you can just be there without being watched, tracked, or profiled. This isn’t a legal wall of text designed to confuse you. It’s a simple promise: We collect as little information about you as technically possible.
What We Don’t Do
To be crystal clear, here is what we don’t do:
We don’t use cookies to track you.
We don’t run analytics tools (like Google Analytics) to spy on your clicks.
We don’t sell your data. Ever. (We don’t even have your data to sell).
We don’t have logins, comments, or payment forms.
So, What Does Happen?
Like almost every website on the planet, our hosting provider automatically keeps a very basic “server log” when you visit. Think of it like a security camera at the front door of a shop—it just notes that someone walked in, not who they are. This log briefly records:
Your IP address (a number assigned to your internet connection).
Your browser type (e.g., Safari, Chrome).
The time you visited.
Why? Only for security and to make sure the site doesn’t crash. We don’t look at these logs to analyze your behavior, and our host deletes them automatically after a standard period (typically 30–90 days). We don’t combine this with anything else to figure out your identity.
Third Parties
We keep our tech stack tiny. Our site is hosted by Nixihost. They handle the security logs mentioned above. We don’t share your info with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else because, simply put, we don’t have any info to share. We even host the fonts we use locally to minimize data tracking.
We use Lightspeed Cache to make our site snappier. Basically, it stores quick-loading versions of our pages so you don’t have to wait as long when you visit. This all happens on our server behind the scenes and doesn’t involve any collection of your personal data.
Videos on this website are delivered through a content delivery network (CDN) operated by Bunny.net. When you play a video, your device’s IP address is transmitted to the CDN solely to route the video segments to your browser. The CDN does not store IP addresses in its logs, and no cookies or tracking technologies are set in connection with video playback. We do not sell or share this information.
Questions?
If you’re curious or concerned, we’d love to hear from you. Since we don’t have a database of users, we can’t “delete” your data (because it doesn’t exist in any meaningful way), but we’re happy to chat about our practices. Email us!
Thanks for reading, and thanks for visiting. — The Team at Starlight Iguana
